The last few weeks have been nothing short of epic at the Scotch! We had our Drive It Day Cruise to Southport and Parbold which was a great success. After the feedback we got we will certainly try planning a few more of these over the Summer. We also have a Facebook group for anybody who uses it which provides regular updates and a place to view/post photos. Just look up 'Scotch Piper Classics' in Facebook Groups.

Monday saw our busiest night of this year with a fantastic turnout and, once again, even more fantastic 'new' old cars turning up. If this was a precedent for what this Summer holds we are going to be very busy!

We also have a new addition, Snaffles Cafe, less than a mile from The Scotch towards Southport providing us with hot food and drinks. They stay open especially for us on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings.

This Sunday is our monthly afternoon meet, the third Sunday of the month. We normally meet up around 12pm at The Scotch Piper until mid afternoon. If you're at a loose end why not get yourself and your classic down to The Scotch? You'll receive a very warm welcome. If you can't make Sunday, we still meet up every Monday evening from 6pm and every 3rd Sunday of the month. Postcode is L31 4HD. Hopefully see you Sunday! 😉

It's been another amazing year at The Scotch Piper, lots of new faces and fantastic cars and some great events including numerous cruises, appearances at shows across the North West and even a Treasure Hunt! Our numbers have grown considerably, the result being that we are now regularly filling the front Car Park and most of the back field!

Sunday 16th will see us meeting up for our monthly Sunday afternoon meet. With the time of year that it is, people are putting their pride and joy to bed for the Winter or coming off the road to do some repair work. If you haven't done this yet and are free on Sunday, it would be great if you could jump into your pride and joy and bring it down before Winter well and truly arrives. Let's try and make it the best Sunday attendance this year! We normally meet from 12:30pm until late afternoon, postcode is L31 4HD.

Hope to see you there!

It's been a while since the Scotch went out of action due to the awful fire, thanks to all at the Scarisbrick Arms for accommodating us so happily over the winter.
With just four weeks to go 'till the hour shifts and it stays light until eight in the evening the good news is that the sparks are finishing up the wiring and the paintwork's done now.
There isn't yet an official date for re-opening but I think it'll be quite soon.
Get Ready!

Monday's half done so you can look forward to meeting up with the Scotch Piper Classics this evening at the Scarisbrick Arms at 7:00pm, just a mile towards Southport from the Scotch on the same road.

Also our Lazy Sunday Afternoon meet ups have been on hold since the fire at the Scotch and with the weather improving we think it's about time we held the first one of the year to get things moving again.

So this Sunday the 19th we'll be at the Scarisbrick from around 12:30pm, rain or shine, then every third Sunday of the month from then on we'll be back at the Scotch as usual.

Summer's coming, join us tonight and Sunday afternoon, we've got plenty of events planned for this forthcoming year so come and join in with the fun.

Scarisbrick Arms in Downholland from 7:00pm. There's a huge car park and the staff have been fantastic over the winter for us. And the same location from 12:30pm on Sunday.

Scarisbrick Arms, Black-A-Moor Ln, Ormskirk L39 7HX.

Hopefully see you there!

It wasn't a bad start to our Sunday meets, given the poor weather. It was also our last at The Scarisbrick Arms. They have been excellent hosts over Winter while the Scotch has been getting repaired, our sincere thanks to all at The Scarisbrick.

The Scotch reopened over the weekend. It means our weekly Monday night meets return there beginning this evening from 6:30pm. This Sunday also sees our monthly Sunday afternoon meet on Easter Sunday, 16th April. So, if you have no other plans that day and the weather is acceptable, please feel welcome to come join us, it should be a brilliant day! 12:30pm onwards, postcode L31 4HD.

Any questions regarding either our weekly or monthly meets, please feel free to get in touch via PM. We also have a Facebook group which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1676972015917516/

We hope to see you soon!

It's been a fantastic few weeks at The Scotch, it's great to be back after the repairs and it's back to looking its best. This Sunday is our Drive It Day event.

Drive It Day is a national event where people in the Classic Car community are encouraged to use their cars.

After the success of our brilliant Drive It Day convoy cruise last year, the route of which took in Southport and Parbold amongst other places, we have decided to stick to what we know and follow the same formula.

We are proposing to meet at the Scotch around 11:30am for a quick briefing regarding the route and the places we'll be stopping to regroup en route before departing at 12:00pm.

We have arranged to stop off The Rigbye Arms in Wrightington, not far from Parbold Hill, for some food and/or drink for an hour or so. They have been kind enough to provide us with a function room if there are quite a lot of us. After this it's a choice of heading for home or a convoy back to The Scotch.
Hopefully see you on the day!

Yet again, it's a great Summer here at The Scotch Piper. Lots of great cars and people with 'new fish' turning up every week.

We meet every Monday evening from 6:30pm and every third Sunday afternoon of the month from 12:30pm.

Given the weather, we're expecting tonight to be one of the busiest yet so if you're thinking of attending then tonight hopefully shouldn't disappoint. There is plenty of parking as we now have the whole of the rear of the pub to park up.

If you use Social Media, please feel free to add yourself to our Facebook page here.

The Scotch Piper, Lydiate, Merseyside, L31 4HD.
