Me and 3 mates are heading to Liverpool this weekend for a lads weekend away for our 30th birthdays.

Any recommendations on decent boozers, stuff that's worth seeing and of course the best gentlemans establishments

Also warnings for anywhere to avoid

Thanks for any info

The area around Matthew Street is full of clubs/ bars.

Likewise the Concert Square area.

Areas to avoid ? None specifically, just be aware there are many idiots about who will be out of their trees on booze and/ or coke (not the rival to Pepsi).

If you want to see the sights - try The Albert Dock, Maritime Museum (if that's your type of thing). The Waterfront/ Pier Head/ (Mersey Ferries go from in front of The Liver Building), loads of Beatles stuff around Matthew Street area, Liverpool One for shopping/ coffee shops, etc.

Loads of restaurants in the Paradise Street area - I'd recommend Villa Romana on Wood Street (just off Paradise Street, by O'Neill's) if you like Italian food.

It's a very vibrant and busy city. Enjoy yourself.

Went there a year or so ago on a stag do. Was good fun. Started down near docks for some chilled early beers and food.

Then ended up central someplace.

Can't remember the name of the strip club, but it was seedy enough.

Was a strip of bars which had a place called Krazy House, one of lads did a recon trip in there and it was deadsville... Was sort of place that seemed to have three floors catering to 'all tastes' and sold st beer. One to avoid me thinks.

Locals were pretty well natured and was an easy place to have fun. Enjoy.
