Torn loyalties!

After two damp and soggy Cars & Coffee Liverpool gatherings, Norman has announced another August gathering at the Chung Ku restaurant on Sunday 26th August from 09:30.

The Ormskirk Motor Fest is also taking place on the same day in Ormskirk town centre. This family-friendly day out is a great event, with static car and motorbike displays on the pedestrianised shopping streets, entertainment, food & drink concessions, and organised parade laps around the Ormskirk inner ring road. From 11am.

It will be possible to do both...I'm going to!

This years Motorfest is said to be different, with cars from the 1940s (I think) in a special display. I had a quick look at the entry list and there are a few new entries, though surprisingly some of the previous regular attendees haven't entered. I was surprised to see there was only one E-Type in the list, strange tbh as there's always been more than one at this event. There must be plenty of E-Types around.

Anyone know why that yellow Ferrari 250 GTS (the one that looked like a California Spider) that was seen at last years event wasn't on the entry list? Did the owner just decide to turn up at the last minute and get a space in the park?.

Maybe just a clash - there's always loads of stuff on bank holiday weekend and perhaps they're just trying something else for a change. Oulton Park Gold Cup is on, for example.

Ormskirk motor fest isnt just in the high street, dont forget the static display in the band stand area, they also have street parades at various times, this is a very well organised event and its FREE ! I hope Mike, if you are thinking of displaying your car you are booked in, otherwise you may be disappointed. altogether a brilliant event.

FREE usually means it will be heaving. Though not sure if today's abysmal weather will put people off. August has been a washout.

Anyone know anything about that yellow Ferrari 250 GTS? Strange there was no mention of it on the entry list; would've been nice of the owner to put a display in the window with some history about the car.
