I found this by accident as I was searching Google images of the area.

Seems like a game of golf is the past time for classic car ownerssmile. To be honest I'd rather watch grass grow than to play Golf.

Looked like a very interesting and know doubt expensive array of motors according to the list; a rare Aston DB6 Volante (29 made apparently), a DB6 Vantage, Ferrari 275 GTB, Dino and E Types, among others. A few million quids worth there. A lot of rich people out there in this part of the country it seems.

I wonder why this meet up never got talked about?.

Reading through the list of cars, I think most of them lived on Victoria Road anyway, so literally around the corner to the Golf Club...

I never heard about this, and I'm local.

Never heard of it before myself.
On a side note, they are very snobby at that course, not that I play but have done a few jobs there. Weren’t keen on giving us a cuppa cause we were workers doing some building works. They nearly had a heart attack when I first turned up and found a nice empty space close to the front door, right opposite the door in the picture. I didn’t notice the little sign saying chairman! Went in and you’d of thought I’d tried to rob them. Have worked in a few golf clubs and this was the most miserable one to work in. Couple of staff were nice and sneaked us drinks and biscuits but had to keep it quiet! Seen John parrot in there and he was chatting to us and seemed decent.

I can imagine that place being very snobby. I think anyone who has too much time on their hands rolling up in their Aston Martin DB6, Ferrari Dino, E-type or any other super expensive classic, playing a round of golf has to be a little snobby. I've been to Formby and nearby Ainsdale a few times and everyone walks around looking dead miserable and the place has an unfriendly "outsiders not welcome" vibe about it.
