Who's the lucky person with the new Sagaris then? Which region are they from? I have yet to hear one driven in anger - they are REALLY starting to grow on me.
Don't know who they are, but they came into Gorners to pick it up when we called in a couple of weeks ago. Noticed the plate see.
I couldn't believe it was just parked in the field with all the "riff-raff"
no lambo's I'm afraid.
I don't know my Ferrari history that well but these are quite a rarity and worth a few quid aren't they?....the real ones anyway I didn't read all the info posted on it but it had a chuffing great V12 and the info said it was on a genuine Daytona chassis but not sure what the story is behind it. A contender for most expensive though if real

Had a great time Saturday & Sunday and won Best TVR Supercar on both days and a prize in the club raffle (dinner for two ). Altogether Will post some pics later.
I hope you didn't take both the trophy home on both days Clive - the organisers are supposed to award prizes such that that doesn't happen!
Glad it was a good day, pity you didn't come down to Gaydon.
Apparently two teams of judges who alternated on Saturday & Sunday. IMHO both teams did a fine job and yes I have both trinkets. To the winner the spoils
They were doing this differently this time then Clive. They usually try to distribute prizes widely. e.g. the best club stand running order is completely different on the Saturday to the Sunday so no one wins twice. (Its also to stup John Horne winning everything with his very red, very shiny very chromed Grffith hybrid!). I gave my 1st prize back on a Sunday and they told me this.
How did the TVR stand do? They usually come out with something to show for their troubles? Certainly looks like the weather was an improvement over the last Tatton - it was better suited to fishing then and made for interesting driving on wet grass.

Definitely. Unfortunately with this kind of car, everyone will probably assume its a replica, and in 95% of the cases they are probably right! I have seen that car driving around Knutsford before - but I couldn't say. I have however seen a fairly convincing replica (a red one) that was built on a Datsun 240Z platform and had a Jag V12 in it. The lights etc were copies too, but the windscreen and glass was original Ferrari and very hard and expensivve to obtain.
Looks like a very good show this time - makes a change to have some really exotic machinery as it was wearing a bit thin seeing the same cars show after show.
Yeah, I had a flick through a recent "Classic and Sportscar" after I posted last night and they give the value of a genuine Daytona Spider at £270k (mint) and £210k (average). There were a couple for sale as well but both were "conversions." I guess when the real thing is so rare and valuable these conversions are worth the expense for some people. One was £126k and the other was around the £100k mark. The one at Tatton was for sale for "Serious offers only"
I thought it would be the same cars as the Tatton show a few months back as well and there was obviously going to be some but there were a lot of cars I hadn't seen before as well so glad I went The weather was even perfect

The TVR Club stand got second place although IMHO they deserved higher as a great deal of effort had gone into it. I was told that John & Ian had personally organised the weather
