Two events nearby on Sunday 1st January 2023

Charity Farm, Smithy Brow, Appley Bridge WN6 9PP (this appears to have become the new "The Corner House Wrightington" event) from around 8:30am. During the winter months, parking is on gravel and hard-standing, so suitable footwear advised. The onsite canteen serves breakfast fare and drinks.

I did hear mention that the New Year's Day meet will include a Porsche enthusiasts' group gathering...

Briars Hall, Briars Lane, Ormskirk L40 5TH from 9am-ish? Previously this gathering has been more for "old stuff": vintage and veteran cars and motorbikes, but there's usually a number of classics and sports cars passing through later in the morning. Drinks normally available from the restaurant.

Whilst advertised as a “classic” car meet, one of the best things about Charity farm is the diversity of what turns up!

That's my red pony (and I test drove that Citroen Ami) but leaving it at home in the stable this Jan 1st. Planning on bringing a little red beetle this time, as it's fitted with a convenient coffee table on the boot-lid...
