The weather will be wrong... it'll be way way out in the north... with further longitues of wrongitues coming in from the east, and by the afternoon it will be so spectaulary cockeyed that the weather will be presented by David Fish.

Right for anyone interested...

meet up here in the car park behind the Kingfisher Building in Stacksteads (no speed humps & new tarmac surface) at 10ish

to get there from Manchester - up the M66 and stay on to Rawtenstall - at roundabout take LH lane, and take the exit controled by traffic lights (ie straight ahead after passing petrol station) straight on at next RB... and keep on this road - straight on at next lights, through 'the glen'... bout another mile - speed camera - another mini roundabout - straight on, bout 1/4 mile another camera (facing you) at the end of the terraces & factory on right you'll see kingfisher ahead on your right. all in all its about 5 miles from Rawtenstall.

then we'll set off around 10:20 or so for Long Preston/Hellifield layby to meet up with those coming south at midday.

hows that sound?

Sounds good. I'll be there at the A65 Layby in question at 12pm. I'll either be in my Supra or my GT-four (depending on how good/bad the weather is).

From there are you guys heading along the A59?

Wanna meet up in Gisburn, then take the A682 up to Hellifield, say around 11?

Aim to hit gisburn nearer 10:45.
We are planning to carry on along the A59 to the abbey .
Agree the road to Hellifield is a good one but we are aiming to be at the Abbey at about 11:30 so will take the more direct but boring route.
Happy to join up though

No pass required. Just pay £5.00 at gate for all day riverside parking.

Just posted in the events thread.
I'll probably be coming along as long as the weather is half decent.
Anyone travelling from wilmslow/cheshire/stockport ?

I think I may start off with the Lambo boys in Stockport at 10am and see where they take me or they might follow me as I have Bentley Batty Nav.

Right then I think I know where that is. So I will try and get over to Stockport and go from there. Seeing as I have no idea where Bolton Abbey is

Clive, it was good to see you again, good day, i think everyone owes you a drink for such a great job in leading the convoy, just a shame none of the romper crew turned up - i wonder what excuses they have!

Twas a good day,

Cheers to AJI for the run down from Hellifield, twas good fun, and a good excuse to head up the A682, did set off with the roof down, but admitted defeat by Burnley when it became a downpour rather than light shower.

Great fun to be stood behind the lambo's while they cranked the engines, with the Future Lady S saying 'TVR's sound better'

Yup I wimped out early - car was still in the mechanical ER so trundled along in her Rav 4. Quite outdone by the machinery on show so parked around the corner under some bushes with cloaking device switched to 'On'.

In fact we were leaving as you were arriving Clive. Shame as I'd promised Julie that you'd let her hug your GT. Unfortunately we had a tight schedule and I missed a great number of cracking cars.

Next year I'll make a less surrepticious entrance
