The X5 and others where nothing to do with the suicide we dont have an 09 tourer it must have either been Cheshire or Merseyside as at Lane Head it borders them both.

I don't know I saw an unmarked X5 DK58 CXN just by the Frodsham turn off pulling some poor bugger last night!

Edited to add that it was black.

The suicide area was on GMP patch. Frodsham would be Cheshire Police.

Black Mondeo hatch, MY09 FYW. Has a thing for the A535 between Holmes Chapel and Chelford, seen him twice now in 2 weeks giving people a tug.
Completely stock looking, nothing to give it away.

I didn't get a good look at the boot lid. I think it might have been a TDCI badge (red and black). I'm sure our paths will cross again and I'll have a good look next time.

There are two Mondeos's knocking around the Chelford/Alderley edge area.

1 silver/1 black.

As mentioned above completely bog standard. You wouldn't suspect them at all.

Interesting to hear about the Mondeos, as I use that stretch a lot and if its clear the speeds can creep up a touch sometimes. Do they patrol during "office hours" or randomly? frown

I got pulled last Thursday night/Friday morning by the nice chaps in the black one!!! I was on my way back from Cardiff at 4.15am in a brand new 5.0ltr XJ, and was due to be in Middlesbrough at 9.00am, leaving me 4.75 hours to drop the XJ off in Manchester, drive back to Cheadle Hulme, have a sleep & get to Middlesbrough! ....... my speed was excessive even by my standards, and my driving questionable after I had overtaken them in a 40mph limit, using all the road (both sides) through the next few bends, before he reappeared behind me with the "blues" flashing away.

All I can say is a big thanks to them for being sympathetic, and not throwing the book at me. Maybe you are members on here??

The 2 times I've seen the black one was during the evening commute.

I shall keep my eyes peeled, thanks chaps. I sometimes come back to Macc down that road, and at post pub times*, so they're likely to be out hunting. frown

(*I'm not drink driving btw, for the pedants out there, my club meets in a pub...)

Do they have little blind spot mirrors on top of the regular door mirrors or a 2nd interior mirror sometimes a giveaway ?

Not sure, when I saw them they had all the lights going which tends to distract you some what from looking at the car per say. It did have forward facing lights (blue and red) mounted to either the dash or around the rear view mirror can't remember which though.

It did remind me of the NOOSE car from Grand Theft Auto! biggrin

I've seen the new shape 3 series patrolling the M6 near J20 a lot again recently, last three digits of registration are EXE.
Seen again this morning at about 8:45, it's a 330i. He had pulled over a 911 on the M56 eastbound and caused a tailback pretty much all the way back from J7 to the M6 junction. irked

How did 'he' cause a tailback ? rubberneckers?

I'm not bothered if he pulled it up, was it an uninsured driver, on the phone, n/s flat tyre or had he/she run out of petrol and just been pushed to the H/s any of which could have been missed as you maybe only got a snapshot impression as you drove past ?

At a guess i'd risk he/she probably obliviously drove passed the unmarked car with a phone glued to his/her ear at that time in the am with all the slow traffic.

It's generally always pretty rammed along there at that time esp Mon am irked

I'm annoyed at the rubber-neckers really, plod is probably just doing his job. I don't know what the solution is, but it annoys me that everyone has to slow down just because there are two cars on the hard shoulder.

I have to make that journey every morning and it's starting to piss me off.
