You sure it's not PN06 DUV? The police tend to buy their cars in bulk, so they may end up with similar numbers in the plates.

Years ago, when GMP bought some Escort RS2000 for marked and unmarked work, the reg numbers were all sequential, and the unmarked ones were all white too!

Quite easy to spot you'd say? Well not by my mate, who had to be subjected to the merry glee of the Traffic officer enjoying his first ever pull for his brand new car - 60 in a 30 - in a Metro Studio 1.3!!!! - he deserved it!

I saw this tonight about 10.45, but I thought the reg was MX57 VFB.

Just after I'd got on the M60 at Bredbury heading Anti-clockwise, it came blasting past with all its Blues going. I was surprised how many blue lights it had - it was covered in them!!!

So either I was wrong about the reg, or GMP have done a bulk purchase and have got more than one of them!

Efficient allocation of police resources.....

I could have got the last digit wrong, it was persisting down and it came flying past at a fair old lick! I had to remember the number until I got home - well it was either that or inscribe it into the dashboard as there was a pen in the car but my missus couldn't find any paper!

Problem is I'm now going to be super suspicious of EVERY silver 5 series, which is rather ironic as that's what I drive, even if it is the old model!

About 8.30 this morning saw a white unmarked vectra head north on the M66 between Bury and Ramsbottom with the blues flashing in the grilles a blonde female officer driving. In my rear view mirror (i was heading south) the boot lid seemed to have two silver square markings either side of the number plate ??

A dark grey 08 plate BMW 330d pulled someone outside my work in Blackburn today.
It had strobes on back of rear headrests and on corners of front bumpers

Not strictly unmarked BIB, but when I was coming to work on Friday marked BIB had cunningly pulled to one side of the M602 bridge (Trafford Park exit) where they were not visible from the motorway and had left their speed cameras on tripods pointing down on the traffic through the railings.

I would have posted this sooner has my internet connection been working.

Navy Blue volvo v70 on the m6 junc 28 leyland gave me 3 point.

There is also a silver range rover with tinted windows on that section of road. He has been seen as far south are warrington and north on the m55 !!!

Any one who lives in preston just go to tickle trout and have a browse road the police traffic headquarters on the motorway road about :-)

Often thought about doing some reconnaissance here just to see if I could build a full list. Don't think the BiB would appreciate finding me with a list of reg's and car makes which all belong to them though!
