I personally think a long line of cars swapping places in the traffic and generally putting a smile on others faces is better than smaller groups in narrower lanes but hey

Got a point - I was thinking about this last night - the run down the M1 to BT&P was good fun as everyone could speed up / slow down, catch up again, passengers take photos as they went past... and we could all near as damnit keep each other in view - well, mentioning no names anyway but he's got a quicker car now

My vote is for motorway

Over the tops, people WILL get lost/left behind.

Anyway, first coat of polish went on last night along with fresh decals, top coat on tonight if it doesn't piss down!

And the Times foreacast today says... Rain, rain and, er not so bad rain!

CharlieBoy texted me last night asking if I wanted him to get me some wellies for "PissWet"

I thought more people were coming round to the motorway idea?

Seriously, there's no way we are all going to stay together and I don't have a co-driver to map read!

Call me a wuss but I'd rather the motorway too. We're never going to all stick together otherwise. If not, can we have some kind of plan of intended route? I too have no co-pilot

I vote for motorway

Please please, motorway is much better for this run. I want to be driving with dozens of cars. A convoy of this size can't cope with junctions, roundabouts and traffic lights.

Gem,

What time was it we were meeting at A64/A1 ?

Bob

I believe it was originally suggested 10.30, but we will be there a little earlier.

My personal preference would be motorway for keeping together and entertaining others on the road!

We're planning to leave there at 10:30 so people need to be aiming earlier.

So about 10:15 ish at the roundabout then.

The Tuscan has a new oil pressure sensor and is indicating better pressure now so I can give it some beans with a bit more confidence

Bob

PS The chim is back after a new master cluch cylinder so I may be in that - Half of it is still packed from Sunday.

Right, back to my original suggestion of going on the motorway. All you twisty lovers will have to get your fill on the way home.

I'll post the route here and print it off for anyone that wants it on the day.

There, that was easy.

I've had a bit of an "accident" with the car I'm getting heavy juddering through the steering wheel at 70mph so am limited to 65mph maximum.

I have tried umpteen different things including having the tracking done, balanced all the wheels to within 0.1g and checked the car over but can't spot anything. Next job is to check the grease, fill the nipples, check the other oil levels, make sure the rack isn't getting fouled by anything and then a bit and drive down

I'll see you all at Woolley Edge, but since it was going to be awkward for me to keep up anyway, I'll fall behind on the M1 and see you at PF I reckon (could get interesting this navigating lark ). Could I pinch someones number tommorrow in case I get lost for directions?

I don't need anyones number becuase unfortunatly I won't be joining you.... So can someone please delete me off the list.

Instead of drinking beer in stratford and talking about cars I'll be in London talking about DataCentres.

Do I look happy? No I dont!

Have fun anyway. Might get down for saturday if I'm lucky.

I can do that.

If not pssing down, then I'll be in a red Dino 246 replica, with much V8 noise.
If it is pssing down, then I'll be in a blue bmw 740 luxobarge, with V8 but virtually no noise.

Are you all going straight through to PF? or are you still coming through Derby to be at Markeaton Park at around 12.30 to pick up the Fishes and other Midlands PH'ers?

So yes we will be stopping in Derby!
