Get the radiator and fans fixed so the car is mechanically sound. Then buy a couple of rolls of duck tap and patch the nose cone together yourself.

That way you'll have your car back in time for Croft. The new nose cone and paint can be fitted later and will not have to suffer a trackday.

Bad news Mark, sorry to hear.

Good plan though Bob, no point taking a new paint job on a track day if you can help it.

Who have you used for the quote, Motocraft? They didn't get back to me when I went in for the Griff.

I can recommend letting C.S.Lind in Bradford at least quote on the job. Very concientous and do a lot of TVRs, old and new.

01274 727587 - Edgar or Barry.

TET do a front end for the Griff for £1000 - can't believe the factory one is 3x the price...

Moto-Craft are doing the work. They picked the car up for me (from the house).

Obviously, I only use them because a) friend with owner & b) quality of work.

Al, probably didn't get back to you because of work commitments (for JCT600) although common courtesy would be a simple phone call (I'll ask when I see him if you want).

With regards to gafa-tape. It is my only car, and think it may 'project' the wrong image when going to see new clients, therefore the work is being carried out as we speak. As long as I have the car back in time I'll be at Croft, albeit maybe a tad more cautious.

Hey ho, at least insurers have been spot on.

Really sorry to hear it Mark. I know a Tuscan boot lid is about a grand so I can believe the price. At least you'll get it sorted a bit quicker than I did.

Feck!!!!!!!! Its hard to imagine that there would be so much damage caused by such a low speed accident.

Are your insurers providing a hire car for the next 4 weeks?

Edited because I'm having trouble typing today!

At least you're seeing the funny side. Perhaps you should take it along to Croft, you don't need me to tell you that a hire car is faster than ANY other car on the road!

Not this one.

I've forgot what its like to drive a car than 'leans' when you go round corners. I keep thinking its going to fall over.
