A new thread, as people (Spontaneous Bob) were getting confused! I have a provisional booking for us and will need to confirm before the end of this week.

Venue:- Tiger Tiger, The Light, 117 Albion St, Leeds LS2 8DY
We will be staying here all evening.

Date:- Saturday 20th November 2004

Dress Code:- Smart Casual, whatever that means!
I’m assuming that trainers and blue demin are a nono, of course anything in Burbery check is de rigueur!!

Meeting Time:- I suggest we all aim to meet for a pre-dinner drink (or three) by 7:30 at the latest.

I have an area reserved for us in the Kaz bar for our pre-dinner drinks where you can take advantage of their happy hour from 5pm-7.30pm. (Half-priced drinks and bottles of wine, reductions on bottles of champagne)

Carriages:- Chucking out time is 2:00am Keeeeeebab. As there will be at least 8 of us staying at my house, I’m going to look into pre-booking transport to and from Leeds. Stretch Hummer anyone……...? If anyone else would like a taxi booking please shout and I’ll see what I can do. There are a couple of taxi ranks, but you will have to queue if you leave after 11pm.

Seating for Pie Eating at 8:15 to 8:30
Dinner will be in the Brasserie Restaurant, We can keep our table all night so those that don’t want to party can sit with a few drinks and indulge in PetrolHedonism. Alternatively for those who want to throw shapes, there are 5 bars and 2 dancefloors, playing everything from 80’s classics (I am assured there won’t be anything too cheesy) through to current dance music.

I hope to get us access to the VIP bar, in essence this means you won’t have to queue to get drinks along with half the population of Leeds. I’ve told them we’re a bunch of sport car owners who expect the best!

Parking :- For anyone who wants to drive there is a large very secure car park underneath. I have left the Tuscan there many times without problem. Lots of guards, cameras and wide parking bays. Do so at your own risk, blah, blah, blah

THE IMPORTANT BIT....!!!
In the same format as last year, I will pay a deposit of £15.00 per head by credit card. If your name is on the list and you don’t come on the night, you will owe ME £15.00. Cancellations upto 14 days before.

Never had a problem with jeans, although trainers & t-shirts are no-no's.

might be worth booking a Holiday Inn or whatnot, save the hassle of a cab .

I'll send this link over to Vic, and if she can fathom out how to open it, I'll let you know if she's a goer.... er.... I mean, if she's up for it... DOH! .... if she'll come...... oh hell, I give in!

There's still a double at Chez_Chim. I won't be offended if you want to stay in town though. I appreciate that at 25 minute cab journey home isn't everyones cup of tea.

Nice work Jo

I may have a spare bed if someone is stuck.... Nothing fancy mind, if you expect 5 star luxury then you better be talking to chim_girl, if you can handle a sofa bed and a cup of coffee in the morning then I may be able to sort you out.

Last train to York is 01:23 so a bed somewhere would be useful if there is one available otherwise I will stay at the hotel by the station (cannot remember which one but was easy to find after a few beers) and park in Headingley again. No idea what Noelle wants to do for kipping purposes.

Bob

EDIT - It was the travelodge by the station - looking at availablility now !

I may be dark haired (going gray rapidly) but I am not a horse (not even hung like one last time I looked). At present no news to get your knickers in a twist just trying to assist in introductions as Noelle does not have interweb. [edit] and has returned to the south. [/edit]

Ever since my eyes had a rather unpleasant moment at the hands of P'bert at last years BT&P we seem to have been treated as a couple... which worries me. I suspect PPS will be more worried, so this year if anyone else wants to extract P'Bert from his room forciby at the end of the soup course... be my guest!
