only to take it to Joospeed for it's service....now it's going to bed to have it's dash reveneered, chassis cleaned and repainted, and all those other jobs that need doing but I can't get done in the summer coz I want to drive it all the time....salt + water + TVR chassis = £££££££

I'll be using mine every day (unless icy or snow).

I assume that new TVR will not be as badly affected, although that could be compete b@llocks.

Don't drive it as much with the dark nights and increased work load, though I don't see road salt and grime as an issue at all.

Keep on

I'm definitely driving mine all the time over the winter - cold air = more power! frequent underbody wash/waxes for the chassis should see me through ok and to hell with it if it doesn't!

am I the only person who goes to a jet wash to wash only the underside of the car? I get lots of strange looks!

granted, don't often take it out in the wet... but only cos it means I'd have to put the roof up!

Or if something is pre-planned, like the forthcoming early morning Wolds run.

I'm using the Chimaera daily to get to work as it's my only car. Still enjoy the short drive and arrive to work feeling good and more awake.
It needs a few mins longer to warm up and I need to wash it down more regularly but there are worse things.
The chassis had a full treatment just before the cold season so I should be good until next year.
Only scare is the wet roads a cool tyres. I have had a few scares this last few weeks with fishtailing around bends (even fairly low speed) and I locked up at some T-lights after a long night shift (scared the crap out of me and some poor sole waiting to cross, no harm done, phew).

I used the cerb all through last years winter, snow, hail, sun, etc. No problems except needing an assistant to stop the car going sideways when reversing into my garage as I had no grip on the ice.

This year is a tougher choice... Cerb, CBR6 or Punto??? mmmmm what one
