I did notice that no-one (as far as I could see) overtook another 'run' member - Is that frowned upon?

Not frowned upon but not convoy etiquette

It can get a bit wacky races if everyone is competing for road space

Understood.

When the 3 of us were in convy today, obviously the lead car is doing most of the work and we were, to a large degree, simply following him.

It might be worth thinking about having a leader for a period and then swap over, so everyone gets experience of pressing on a bit.

Except me, of course, because I can't read a map to save my life. I nearly got lost coming out of the toilets at Masham.

A great run out. Thanks to Alison and Justin for organising it all.
Just love that Stilo. All the taut and responsive handling of a blancmange and it also can't drive on wet grass.
Thanks guys for pushing me out of the mud at Grassington.
Hopefully next time we'll be in the Cerbera.

That Stilo has perfect timing, though. Particularly when you rejoined the convoy at Masham.

I was on your table at afternoon tea. Two along from your wife.

The only time in the entire trip that the Stilo did anything right was arriving at Masham as everyone else was leaving. At least I was in the convoy for the last 0.3 miles

Thanks to Justin and Alison for the organisation.
We had a most enjoyable day, just sorry we couldnt make across for tea but it was well worth the journey down from Cumbria.
It was good to meet some other people from on here. We were made to feel very welcome.

Regards, David and Jane (The only Wedge of the day)

but not until about 21:30 :burp: I also managed another dose of cake with cream.

Thanks to Justin & Alison for organising the day and to all the new people I managed to talk to.

I'm looking forward to next years run already.

I'll repeat Jane's thank you for a great day out. It was a good run out and the good old girl went over 100,000 miles as we drove over the hill outside Skipton (that's the car not Jane!!).
