Had my Golf R estate nicked back in April. Broke in and took the keys and were last pinged by cameras at Yeadon (we're near Scotch Corner).
A neighbour in the NY police told me that since they opened the new motorway, 17 Golfs Rs and Audi S3s had been taken in the area and all were last seen near the airport.
VWFS were very good actually, as I'd had it less than 6 months they were keen to get me in another - I declined.....
They sorted the insurance (even though Axa were making it as difficult as possible for them) and kept me informed all the way. It seems they have quite a lot of thefts to deal with.
With the above in mind, I'd call them and explain why you want to end your lease - it can't do any harm and you might get a better deal than just calling for a figure.

I feel incredible sad and gutted for you. It’s a terrible day when you can’t enjoy something you work hard for but it’s just not worth it.
Cheers,it is sad,I previously thought they won’t beat me but I no longer enjoy the car.It would have been cheaper for me if they had stolen it. 😂

NY Police have put out an alert aimed at Audi / VW (R / S / RS / SQ) models due to the very high number of incidents - also AMG's have been affected.
A friend of a friend with an S63 was recently targetted in the Leeds area, they didn't manage to get it but the police checked ANPR and cameras and it showed he'd been followed around for about a week before they actually had a go. Sadly our proximity to Bradford seems to be a massive issue yet you rarely hear of any big busts happening there, it's almost as if they have no ANPR or CCTV once you enter the city.

Does seem odd that cars can be spotted heading towards or into Bradford, yet not within the city. There also can't be a limitless number of small industrial units that these are ending up in.Gassing Station | Yorkshire | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
