Just had someone thump the front of my car frown
They are very keen to keep it off the insurance and are asking me to go to Thirsk Bodyshop who they say are excellent....

I'm prepared to consider it but not terribly keen. Anyone used them , know them?

Are these the ones down on the little estate opposite Alanbrooke barracks/RAF Topcliffe? If so - excellent , to judge by the work they did on my Caterham . Proper car blokes and very good prices

I think so. Thanks for the recommendation.

In the end its going to go through insurance.

I've never had to have bodywork fixed before, but my god! how expensive is it!

Guy parked on a hill and must have a problem with his handbrake. His car rolled about 10m hitting the front corner of my car.

Clearly needs a wing and the headlight mounts are broken and it has a crack. Couldn't open the bonnet at first because the bumper/grill was getting in the way of the catch.

I had a look on here and asked around. Chris Gregory is highly recommended and is 10 mins down the road. They had a look and say it needs wing/bumper/light.

Estimate is over 2K!

It really doesn't look a huge amount of damage, but I guess has been unlucky to hit on the corner and a small crack in a headlamp and a small wing dent and small broken clips or whatever on bumpers are just as expensive as big ones. Not helped by the headlights being AFS/adaptive so £600 a throw.

£325+vat for paint - I'll never complain about farrow & ball again.
