Only 97 though, and I've not heard particularly good stories about it (or BP). Wouldn't want anything but the best if it was going in my Lambo.
I’ve seen flash cars filling up at Morrisons before. Hell I even ran my XJR on Morrisons fuel years ago(granted a supercharged V8 isn’t the same as a highly strung V12). TheBALDpuma said:

Red Aventador SV filling up at JCT Sainsbury's Rawdon this afternoon. Bloody loud, too loud for pottering really. Very dramatic.
I don't like putting supermarket* fuel in my Nissan, never mind in an SV...*Except Tesco Momentum
My car drives better after I've cleaned and vac'd it.

The youtube clip doesn't test tesco fuel, and see's a 4bhp rise in super fuel - which you'd expect on a car that's been mapped to run on 97+https://www.pistonheads.com/news/general-pistonhea...

The pistonhead article was written 12 years ago, so I expect a lot has changed since then. It also see's 8bhp for tescos in the MR2 (I think) over 95 ron, which is to be expected as it's a better fuel, but doesn't say how it compares to the other super fuels. Again, it says a 40bhp increase for tesco vs 95 ron, but doesn't give numbers for vs other super fuels.
When people on here say they can feel the difference between all these fuels I honestly think 99.9% of the time, it's the vacuumed car effect, but each to their own.
I run my car on sainsburys super, because it's the cheapest super out there and my car is supposed to run on 97+. It's still cheaper than branded 95 ron though!
I run my ISF on V Power, tried a few tanks of Tesco Momentum and noticed zero difference. Moved back to V Power as it’s a 15 mile round trip to the nearest Tesco fuel station.
For what it’s worth when I took my heavily modified old Evo X to get the map tweak the tuner said it was fine to use either V Power or Momentum.

I would assume that's because it was mapped for 99RON and they are the only two fuels that are 99? (BP and Sainsburys are 97, and I think Esso is 97 or 98).For what it’s worth when I took my heavily modified old Evo X to get the map tweak the tuner said it was fine to use either V Power or Momentum.
I could be RONg though

Why IS that?! My car drives better after I've cleaned and vac'd it.

Momentum is generally seen to be comparable to V Power. The pistonhead article was written 12 years ago, so I expect a lot has changed since then. Can't believe much has changed. Petrol is petrol. RON is RON. Engines from 12+ years ago worked on old fuel and current fuel.
I think anyone claiming to feel a difference is chatting bks, and dyno tests vary so much they aren't an accurate representation, but documented mpg differences and an understanding of the benefits of a higher RON value stand for something.
Like I said, plenty of forum threads of people praising Momentum after switching.

The non bold stuff yeah I agree. Shell have changed the name of the super loads of times, but who knows how different it is. Can't believe much has changed. Petrol is petrol. RON is RON. Engines from 12+ years ago worked on old fuel and current fuel.

The bold is the bit I just think is forum hype, because the people praising it are the people who say they can feel the difference in their zafira!
I don't actually know anything other than my own expiences, I'm just argumentitive and skeptical.
On to spots... A red 2007 edition 30 was behind me on Leeds ring road near Horsforth this morning, looked lovely. I did want one just like that originally, but ended up with my silver Pirelli Edition.

Good point. I thought BP and Sainsburys were higher RON for some reason. I could be RONg though
Spotted a gaggle of Ferrari Portofinos in Batley this morning.
Lovely red Mustang passing my house today lives up the road I think and my neighbour yesterday in his stunning Bentley Coupe (1950s vintage)
On the subject of RON, my last 6 cars have all been 98ron on the fuel cap, can't say anything about performance but I get circa 10% better fuel economy on a run with the good stuff.
Ironically you cannot buy 98ron in the UK though it's either 95/97 or 99, my local is BP so just use the 97.
