Hi, myself and a friend are looking for recommendations for a company based in West Yorkshire who professionally fit dash cams into prestige cars. We obviously don’t want to take them to Halfords and are looking for an individual/freelancer or company who have proven experience of fitting kit into prestige cars, ie they can remove trims, internal panels and know what they are doing.

Does any one have any recommendations?

Thanks

Motosparkz

Have a chat with Shane, based in York but his services are mobile anyway. Does a lot of work for Alexanders Prestige over in Boroughbridge and is a top chap at what he does.

I'm in the same boat, I have the cam, front & rear with hard wire kit, just need it fitting.

Unfortunately the guy mentioned above doesn't cover West Yorkshire.

I've pondered having them fitted to our cars.

Is the rear facing one worth the additional cost?

I've had several fitted by Code Blue Communications based in Huddersfield. No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
They are an official supplier of Thinkware gear but they do other cameras. A lot of their business is dash cameras for HGVs.

Definitely.

I had a front only one in my wife's car and she had an incident where she had to reverse back at a crossroads as a truck was about to hit her, there was around a car space between her and the car behind but as she slowly reversed the car behind drove forwards into her. He said he hadn't moved and subsequently put a claim in for loss of earnings, whiplash and the rest. They made contact but there wasn't a mark on either car.

Anyway since then I've fitted front and rear in both cars - the Aukey DR02 being the one in the main car - I wish I'd done it sooner.

Without jumping on Warrens thread here shame nobody in Leeds or Bradford recommended, have seen praise for Leeds Audio on York Rd, looks like will be going there.

However, he has quoted £120 for a mini 0906 front & rear hard wired, 3 hours labour on a 350z, so that's working out expensive now, £125 for the cam, £65 for the sd card & fitting £120, yikes.
