Watch out for camera vans all along the B1222.
It's a favourite road for bikers (including police) as well so check your mirrors!

Always amuses me when people warn me of the camera vans.

My car is wide as a bus, I ain't busting past 60 on that road!

Anyway, signed on in the buick for the pistonhead meet.

Nice one thumbup

It's always nice to hear something different and interesting from the usual crowd. We don't see many of those around. Looking forward to seeing you there.

To be fair, I do only live a few miles from the motorist, so not too much of a stranger to their events!

Cheers, I had booked a table in the cafe at 10am only to notice that this event starts at 10am. Should I move my booking to 10.15am, presuming that I won't get in by 10am?

Clashes with SCITP Newby Hall meet, which is a shame.

Yep I'll be at SCITP.
It'll probably help with the queues wink

Could do both I suppose, but it would be a bit of a rush.

30 mile blast up the A1, mind the scamera van on the bridge rolleyes.

I usually drop her down a gear as I go past at 70.

Wakes them up.

I can almost see it from home,
can certainly hear it when it gets busy

There’s also a Classic Car Show at Ripon Race Course on the same day. It’s only a couple of miles from Newby Hall, could be pretty busy around the area.

I'm in. Does anyone know if you have to be signed up on the ph list. I've got a pal I go over with but he's not on here.

Not 100%, can’t imagine they will turn away but might ask those not in the list to park in the aero club.

I’ve been asked to do that before when it’s an organised day.

Easiest option is just have your mate join here and click to attend

Percy.

I asked about a friend of mine attending in his car, Ben said they need to be registered on the PH list to park in the same area.

Nice drive up there . Good turn out . Plenty of nice motors to look at ,very friendly However , I would have expected a little more emphasis on the motoring world in general in the shopping and merchandise areas, particularly. The shop is relatively large but just one 4 foot x 2 foot table with a handful of stickers , only two styles available .
A couple of racks of T shirts and the rest of the stuff was Wines /spirits ,sweets and toy cars ...? How disappointing. I spoke to the Ebay chap and he said the PH crew turned up with a few PH smiley stickers and left at 1'oclock. I would have thought as they were hosting the event they would have been all over it . Very odd .
The farmhouse sausage sandwich was totally delicious but expensive .

Clashed with SCITP where a thousand-odd cars attended.
Poor planning on their part.

It didn't hehe

Queued an hour to get into Newby Hall, was worth it though as there were some proper cars there and my Integrale got loads of nice attention smile
