Shame I've just found out that only two and a half months and 10k miles after fitting a new cylinder head to the BM (525TDS) it looks like the block may have a small crack as well. Looks like that's the end of the road for that... a real shame as it is a superb car with full BMW service history, but at nearly 180k, I fear it is not worth the cost of finding another engine for it

there's always something to take ya hard earned...........

Yeah, but finding out a week after I've just bought the 911, that I now need a new car to replace the 40k miles a year everyday car is a bit unfair I feel!

Ouch - sounds like painful timing

Still, there's always the 911 to enjoy!

A belter! Mrs Fish I think, or Chim Girl, had one of me reclining across the bonnet of the Griff which was real cover model stuff.

We never did work out Martyn's "something northern" sheik outfit

I cannot find the one of you with nose to windscreen whilst driving down the M1 - that was "the" belter

Tis the best in my book Rich. Go and drive one and then you'll know but it may feel like a step back in time. But that is all part of the experience, especially with the sound of that flat 6 behind you

Rich
A 911 wil take some getting used to, but ownership can be very rewarding.
