NYTVRC trip to Le Mans 2006

I should be up for camping plus entrance/grandstand. I'll make my own way down as I won't be able to get there till the Thursday. It'll be only me though, if I bring any luggage I won't have space for a passenger.

Just to update for Rich's benefit as he kindly offered to sort out our tickets.

I assume Camping Houx again so it will be electricity, assigned camping pitches, showers, etc and not far from the track. Do we get any choices on the grandstand or is it just pot luck what each group gets.

Meant to add that I'm a member.

I'll email Gordon to see if he's still up for that. If Bob can sort us out with the cooking stuff then Gordon only really has to organise the ferry, route and cash collecting. I'm never here so the cheques would probably lie in my mailbox till it's too late.

Just watching this weeks 'The Road to Le Mans' and saw the green Aston that was always parked in the dusty car park. John and myself were talking to the owner who was being filmed for telly. We thought it was just because his particular car was such a rare one. Turns out he is the Team Owner for Creation Motorsport.

Nick - Given that BG is in Derbyshire, MMax in Notts and myself between Yorks and Hants, we welcome outsiders - part of the North Yorks ethic. I asume tat you would join us a LFE along with Tom but prob not Warren.

I have put in an order for the kit incl tables and chairs based on a party of 14 howeve this can be changed.

Hi all, sorry about being missing but have been b and b'ing for a month or so in Bristol. I have moved back to God's Country this week, but have come back to a bit of a family crisis. I should hopefully be at the meet on Sunday and we can start sorting out the trip, but I may not make it at very short notice - I'll phone Bob if I have to run out.

Since I am back in Yorks I should have a stable address for a while (at least I can use my Dad's address as I can pick up mail from here regularly now) so I am happy to do the route planning, cash collecting, ferry organising etc.

Chat more on Sunday then?

Just to fill you in on my situation, Le Mans coincides with the Bentley Drivers Club annual rally and summer concours. As I am currently spending a fortune on a concours re-spray for BG, and the rest of him is pretty damn mint, I am going to enter him in the club concours, for his class anyway, I dont expect a best of show or anything, but it would be nice to get a pot and a rosette.

A clash of interests is therefore bleedin' obvious
