I never did figure out where exactly I lost the head of my sweeping brush that started off the journey propped out over the boot at a jaunty angle

I work in and around Leeds and north yorks there are loads of good roads mostly in north yorks though it has to be said.

Head along the a63 out of leeds till you get to south milford, take a right when you see the sign for beal and kelligton and theres loads of roads round that area with good visibility round corners.

Another good run is right up the A1 come off at Boroughbridge head through the village till you get to the roundabout right on the far side, take the right hand fork then turn right after you pass the garage this is a legendary road, takes you up to hambleton follow the signs to village called raskelf and theres a nice pub there you can stop at. Up that way your deep into some of the best countryside and roads north yorkshire has. From here you can pick your way through the villages to ampleforth where the big posh school is, some of the scenery round there is just breathtaking, stick this postcode in your GPS and enjoy! Another good run from leeds is up to bolton abbey theres loads of good single track roads round there just watch out for sheep and cyclists!
