[quote=snotrag]Who was it that brought the 944?
spent a fair while watching you through the back window, looked like you were having having fun.
However, your in trouble, as I got home and looked here
www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=81
N/A's for Similar money to the Corrado I was thinking of, and engine connected to the right wheels...
WARNING, DANGER TO THE BANk BALANCE
That looks like a beaut snotrag, go for it!
BTW, what Corrado you were looking at for similar money to £5,750 and was it gold plated and encrusted with gems?

Make that 3. I'm going through an identity chrisis at the moment, can't decide what to change it to. Hot racer sounds pony!
I'd go for HotWheels ... the one with the orange track much preferred it to the yellow Matchbox version
Well, after much deliberation, i've decided on a moniker. I toyed with 'Top Gun' and 'Predator', two of my all time fave movies, and 'Animal', but thats my cars nickname, so i decided on 'The Devil', which kinda suits me, as i'm horny, dirty and cheeky all at the same time!

Anyone cleaned their car yet? took mine to car wash where I could take the worst of with brush, jet etc....BIG MISTAKE.......jet finished before I was ready so ended up smearing the muck all over the car....looks worse!
No, not yet. I'm diggin the dirty look at the mo, but probably won't be when it comes to gettin the dirt off, LOL!

Problem is, you have to be comfortable with being inroduced or introducing yourself to people by your nickname ... and not feeling a bit silly when you do ... "Hi, I'm The Devil .... huh? hey, come back! Where you going? "
Personally, I can't believe HotWheels hasn't been taken ... I might bag it and auction it off

Bloody 'ell Guy, you must have odd paintwork ... either that or get it Zymolled, then the dirt just falls away
Get Glyn O'Donnell involved Guy - he'll get some zymol on there to make sure the dirt is actually suspended in the air 1 micrometre away from the paint surface!
I've shown Glyn the picture of my car - he laughed..... and also said it's ok to leave the dirt on for a few days, phew!

That would be me and yes, I was having enormous fun. The Michelins are new on the backand while grippy as a grippy thing in the dry seem to be dehydrated Teflon, which is interesting... Cue much sliding around the dieselly streets of London village this week.
Look around, as 944s really are stupidly underpriced for the metal you get, but dont ever be under the illusion that you are getting a cheap car. Yes, you lose the depreciation, but my Turbo was the high side of 44K in 1989, and the parts are appropriately priced. Mind you, there's a great network of indies and when one gets broken, the rest of the community generally benefits.
Anyways, great to meet everyone, and thanks again to Oliver for organising. Well done that man..

I would really strongly advise the 924 series of cars, seriously start by looking at 924 and move forwards from there, the 924s is effectively a 944 in a 924 body, the entire series is very under rated, to compete truly with a corrado I would look at a 3.0 S2 944, and price wise not silly at all!

Hotwheels has been taken,
there's no one by that name if you do a members search in the directory.
Maybe ask Ted if it has actually been taken?
I tried to change to these but it said they were taken, but they arn't in the directory???
now I'm getting really confused ... as you are posting under Hotwheels! I presume that it has allowed you to register under that name now (well, must've done i suppose).

my paintwork is fine and had been clayed, machine polished, heavily waxed in pure carnauba wax and sealed only a few months ago. (using the meguiars pro range and PC polisher) - im a bit of a cleaning/detailing addict.
i dont really like zymol stuff.. its just all hype because they have that really expensive wax.
go outside and run the back of your hand down your paintwork and see what it feels like.. on my doors behind the front wheels it feels aweful.
