PS: Ted has set up a Yorkshire regional forum.

as ee bah gum? ah'l af t' scrat aroon an see if I cn find it Pet!

And do NOT mention Duran Duran... the most expensive bleedin Duran tickets ever!...
"when we going to Nerja with Browny and Lucy?" says I... "anytime you like" says she.... "the week after Easter week" suggests I.... "fine" says she.... "flights booked" says I.... "er, what week did you say?" says she (rather sheepishly may I add)

So, 35 quid for the ticket plus 95 quid to change all the flights... it had better be worth it

Oh but the uncut video of girls on film.. phwooar!!!

I have posted this in the North West forum, if anyone from the Manchester side of the Penines is going along to this then let me know so I can plan a meeting point and route, etc... The Yorkshire people seem to have got their act together as regards this.

From the email I had earlier I think he's hoping to post the route on Thursday. I got the feeling he was just a tad busy at work.

S. Yorks crew - 11.30 a.m. gathering at the Ladybower Inn car park - here - the arrow marks it.

Is that good for the North West posse?

Yep, that sounds fine nubbin. Will have to rally the North West troops.

Came down Winnats Wednesday, 2.30pm.

Loadsa snow and blizzard. Rushup Edge just on, Devil's Arse closed.

Sod all visibility and a touch tricky. This is what the Cresta run must be like!

Went via Ladybower, up A57 to Sheffield. Caught 2 cars and a grit waggon over the top and we all caught the tail of a slow convoy. A mile or so further on, came round a blind left and the gritter had disappeared.

Nowhere for it to turn off.....spooky.......

Then spent 2 hours in Sheffield doing 10 miles. Solid ice everywhere and no bloody gritters!

All seems to have gone a bit quiet here - do we reckon the weather is going to let this happen, if so, how many from West Yorks area and where are we meeting (or picking up on route if you're going via Huddersfield)?

Funny you should say that.. Back from work about 8.30, out in the S by 8.45 to have a bit of a play. In the snow. Was just a bit chilly at one point..

Just back now. Had to adandon briefly the testing when it all went a little more slidey than I anticipated and I stopped going forwards and ended up going sideways, then backwards.

Still, I have a spare rear light cluster anyway and I'm sure the tree didn't suffer..

Just off to play with multimap and I'll take a wander over to the Yorkshire forum shortly with the results..

Weather forecasts :-

1) http://uk.weather.com/weather/detail/UKXX0133?dayNum=2

2) www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=3263

3) www.onlineweather.com/v4/uk/city/Sheffield.html

The last one usually turns out to be most accurate - except that the "100% chance of precipitation today" is a load of clouds....
