There's a convoy from the NE region heading down the A1. If there's a sensible meeting place we'd love to join you. We're probably taking the A59 through Harrogate route.

Sounds good Bob,can you arrange with al or chim girl(if they don't mind),as i'm away for a week from wednesday.also still not sure if i'll have my car back, theirs been a few delays, like they managed to brake the windsreen in the body shop today.
This could be quite a convoy.

Looks like we'll be able to make it too

Lisa, I'll be in touch when we get back from Ireland and we can make arrangements to set out together?

Day after your Ridedrive course eh? Are you doing the advanced sign reading and lane changing?

D'oh!! I really hope you get it back in time Rob.

I have managed to wangle my rota so that I will be able to attend and Mrs Chim should be there as well.

As Jo has suggested, a nice big picnic (weather permitting) may be nice. I am sure I could convince Mrs Chim to bake some fancies, although I did rather like those chocolate brownies Mrs Fish (hint, hint).

Nice to meet you on Sunday, Neil. Did you manage to kill any pedestrians on the way out? People were diving in front of the car from every direction, trying to get to some shelter!!

Twas very tempting .

Did end up having a tussle with a golf GTI on the way home, motorway slip road, golf on the inside of me giving it large potatoes, looked a bit miffed when I left him for dead when I actually put my foot down.

Al, best you keep your distance from my car this time... it's got throttle problems at the mo; you might find you're getting a much closer view of my rear cans than you expected otherwise!

The NE group will be heading up the A59 travelling through Harrogate around 11:30/11:45. If yo have a convoy going that way we'd like to join on.

If the group coming up from the M1 don't mind taking a slightly longer route to Bolton Abbey we could meet somewhere around Harrogate.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a suitable location on the A59 ?

Not looked at the map closely yet, but even from the M1 I reckon the best way is still out on the A59.

If we pick you up at your place (or at the Shell station to save our usual cul-de-sac antics) we could even get some nice B roads in over the top and come out on the A59 at the crossroads just past Beckwithshaw.

Just an idea, like I said, need to have a closer look at the map.

Sounds good to me, happy to meet at either home or the Shell garage.
