Anyone is welcome, particularly now I don't have to feed you all! Mugs of tea available if required.

So is everyone still planning to take a BBQ/Picnic!? How quaint!

Putting a Webber BBQ into the Tuscan is going to be a challenge.

Um, I think you better amend that Jo , unless that's what you meant in the first place!

We shall be bringing some of Mrs Chims cakes and picnic/barbie type stuff, trying desperately to find a Tartan rug! Will meet you there, as Bolton Abbey is closer to me than you are.

I'm not going to have chance to bake any goodies.

Must remember to put the camping chairs in the car

Pwig!

Or you could be as lucky as Adam was and get one from your parents as a 30th birthday present.

I've got the rest of this week off work, will see if I've got time to make something.

OMG this is turning into a W.I meeting! We'll be singing Jerusalem and making jam before long!

Al,

I can't remember how big the car park is at the Travellers Rest. I think it might be tiny. There is another pub a short distance down the A59 towards Skipton which I think has a big car park.
I'll nip down there today at Lunchtime if I've got time and check it out, (weak excuse to get the Chim out now its been repaired)

There's two routes, one coming down the A1 from Gateshead and the other is coming up the A19 from M'boro. These two will meet up at the services off j48 on the A1. From there to the A59 through Harrogate to meet more I hope.

Thanks for getting back, but bit of a long way round for me to go up the A19 - I'll probably just stick with the A167 then A61 - as that'll bring me out the Ripon side of HG which seems to be where everyone is talking about. No doubt see you there at 11.30ish

So this is where we meet. Could someone point out where it is on the A59

http://uk8.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=425000&Y=450000&width=500&height=300&client=public&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&scale=500000&multimap.x=224&multimap.y=105

Also what time you would expect to be there.

Cheers!!

So is that below (H'Gate side) or above (Skipton side) of the Beckwithshaw-Killinghall crossroads?

Are we all up for meeting at the Nelson at 11.30? Then we should get to Bolton Abbey for the appointed midday unless there is something VERY bad happening on the A59.

Those that are coming from south of Leeds/Bradford, there will be a group of us leaving the big Shell petrol station in Pool-in-Wharfdale (3 miles East of Otley) at about 11am to run over the back road through Leathley and Beckwithshaw to the Nelson.

Does this sound ok?
