Interesting blog post - can't be sure how factual it is but it all seems to fit with other things we know.

Another artic buried in the Cleanhill roundabout at 4am this morning. Hopefully the planned rumble strips won't be long!
Why on earth did they put a roundabout there rather than a proper bridged junction like all the others?

^ I have been wondering the same. Can only assume it was cost related, was the fast link a late addition?

Incidentally, the Dyce traffic of an evening is now the worst I have seen it in years. It also seems to involve an influx of uncouth motherfkers who don’t respect the merging that we do at each end of the road past Dyce Juniors!

Mornings aren’t much better and the merge in turn coming into Dyce on the A947 is carnage.

But looks pretty positive.

Nice one! A bit of respite in Dyce this week thanks to school holidays, but still pretty grim!

Short video from the EE here.

Where is the shot taken at about 1:50 in?

The section with the deep cuttings and the two bridges over the road looks like just north of the river Dee, the second bridge is the A93.

I think.

Lot more traffic on it today (I join at Craibstone, going to Charleston) but it was all flowing smoothly.

Lunchtime run to Balmedie and back I think!

Drove under the Craibstone section this morning (that was closed) - cars flowing thick and fast across the new section!

And Market Street looks no different to usual, possibly a little busier than usual to be honest!

I’ve just done Parkhill to Portlethen, it’s awesome!

Felt there was a surprising distance between Parkhill and Craibstone!

Its handy for cutting travelling times.

But by god how many trucks have had accidents at that stupid roundabout?

Its a mess. Tyre tracks all over it.

Having just watched the dash cam footage of the latest truck crash there the only things I think are stupid are the drivers. If roundabout signs, lane markings and yellow rumble line across the carriageway plus a big round thing in front of you aren't enough for you to spot there is a roundabout then you really should not be on the road. Even before they added the yellow lines the roundabout wasn't exactly hidden.
