Hand in your PH Membership at the door wink

Would you really want the car back after these cretins have had a shot? I know I'd rather have the insurance money/ a new one!

Ok ok, so if my car gets stolen or damaged tonight I'll know who did it. I just stopped outside my house after work, got out and some yob in a camoflage jacked and skii hat walked past staring at the car is if I wasnt there, I got out he stopped dead and went right upto the boot reading the badges then when I said" can i fking help you?" he just walked off like I wasnt there. So it will be a sleepless night for me now...joy!
TBH, I would park it somewhere else for a while. Never give these guys a reason. They have nothing to lose and will damage your pride and joy and think nothing of it.

At the moment the law doesnt seem to be stopping these guys..

If I do mate they will just break into it and try to steal it, at least this way it's outside my door and I have a chance to catch them.

Ironically if you know who has the car and did something physical about it, there'd likely be repercussions by the Police.
At work at the moment so not going to trawl fb, but since I'm at a loose end later and most nights this week I'll have a look for them ;-)

Yeah that's possibly the most frustrating thing about it all. We are supposed to be able to rely on our police to sort this out for us.

fk that, I'd take a snooker cue to the fker's heads..."Sorry constable, I was en route to the snooker hall when I saw my car being taken, I approached the youth and asked him kindly to leave my property alone and he attacked me...what else could I do?"

Hope the wee spineless scroat gets a trip "ower the water"....however I fear a £500 fine and 2 year driving ban is more likely.

He'll get a slap on the wrist, and will be out doing the same again in a few months time.

16 will probably mean a supervision order and no prison.

it would be a shame if he was named and shamed somehow though....

If you own another property, you could just be moving a rolling pin for one property to another.

The cars stolen last night in Aberdeen where - a black Boxter Spyder - C20 SHP and a white Audi A3 - 17 JS, Both stand out cars with easily identifiable plates, please do contact the police if you see either. Thieves broke into the house to get the keys.

Completely horrendous.
Do you know if the A3 was recovered? If 17JS is a white A3, then i'm pretty sure it parks outside my work most days. It was there on Friday certainly with a new fetching rubber scuff mark on the front bumper. Presumably it's no longer missing?

It appears we the inconsiderate owners are at fault for these scumbags stealing cars

Yeah what a ridiculous thing to say, these scumbags are entering peoples houses to steal keys but the cops seem to be classing it as "joy riding" rather than "spate of home invasions" guess people accept joy riding rather than burglary so they put that spin on it? That cop should be ashamed of himself!

Is it an upsurge of joyriding or just more exposure from the media? Either way, something has to be done. "blaming" the owners of the vehicles for not securing the keys (however daft that may be) is not the answer. Making an example of the next 10 "yoofs" that do this probably is. And by that I mean a stay over the water in Craigie, not a slap on the wrist and a 5 month driving ban on a licence they don't hold...
