Used to put all the fleet to a garage in Kemnay for MOTs, pretty understanding with some of the 'special' older cars. They've since been sold on, so looking for a fair place who can perform some MOTs in Aberdeen. We need to play around with the ECU hand controller on one of the cars to get it through the low idle emissions, so most garages don't offer that service as standard! Any ideas?
Not sure if it'll help with your ECU hand controller thing but if you want a "fair" MOT then I'd suggest using one of the council fleet places. They have to, by law, offer MOTs to the general public but that's all they offer, they don't do repairs, so they've no incentive to fail a car to get more work out of you. If you normally do your own repair/maintenance work on your cars then it's a good way to get the test done.
I used the Aberdeenshire place in Inverurie recently, the bloke there was brilliant. Aberdeen City Council have a place near Kittybrewster retail park too, a friend of mine has been using them for years.

Steve,
How about the Albyn Garage?
Not used them for years but they seem to regularly have older type cars in their shop when I pass.
Handy for you too. no?

If the garage you're referring to is the one I think it is, the new owner is a real petrolhead and helpful guy, sure you wouldn't have any issues.duka said:

Same one, as guy across the road has taken it over, but it's not him that does the MOTs!!Gassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
