Heard that Phoenix Glasgow is closing soon too, leaving Phoenix only with Linwood....
Yep. I bought a car from Phoenix Glasgow Suzuki in December. Place was dead, only 1 sales person in the Suzuki Side, no reception or admin staff. Next to no used stock on the forecourt. Had to go back to pick up a spare wheel kit and ended up getting dealt with through at the Honda garage as there seemed to be no service or mechanic staff for Suzuki left. Honda to be fair seemed a bit busier. Tried booking a car in for a service this month and was told to phone Linwood. Got a letter the other day saying all servicing sales and parts are moving to Linwood only.
It is a bit out the way and dwarfed by Arnold Clark that used to be Machargs at South Street... not really a surprise. Hopefully Suzuki franchise survives in Linwood as I'd rather not give Parks of Hamilton my money and it's the only alternative close by.

Speaking to a mate at Phoenix. Arnold Clark apparently moving VW to Phoenix Glasgow site- seems sensible given the fact that VW Jordanhill now has split sales/service sites. (VW Service is just along the road from Phoenix)
Next to go for Phoenix is Linwood, Arnold apparently taking the scraps it wants from there in October.

Notice that Crossflags BMW Dumfries is now trading as Harry Fairbairn and are part of AC.
Don't think there are any independent BMW dealers left in Scotland now - just AC, Parks, Peter Vardy etc
anyone know what happened with Crossflags? They were advertising for a Nissan Technician in May and before the month is out they have been sold to AC and Nissan has been dropped. Don't think there are any independent BMW dealers left in Scotland now - just AC, Parks, Peter Vardy etc
Further to above, it looks like further dealership merry go round...
Those jobs advertised by Eastern Western for Nissan Dundee are for Barnetts, so EW must be buying Barnetts and taking on Nissan from JCMG. Whilst JCMG take on Volvo in Dundee.
Eastern Western are also looking for Nissan staff in Perth, so taking that too!
So, VW and Mazda in Dundee may be also going to EW.

Drove past Hardies in Larbert last night showroom empty notices directing you to Stirling Suzuki
Wonder if it will re open or prime site for flats near station
Hardie's lost Peugeot (needed to spend a fortune on their showrooms to a adhere to updated corporate image)Wonder if it will re open or prime site for flats near station
Is a bloody nuisance for me as I own a Pug, live in Stirling and have to use either AC in Kirkcaldy or Glasgow.

Am assuming it'll be AC or Robins and Day in the old Suzuki showroom off Kerse Road.
