Does anyone know what cafés/grocery shops will be open on a Sunday after 4pm between Dornie and Shieldaig please?
Nothing round here (Shieldaig/Torridon/Lochcarron etc). All either closed or close at 4 pm. You can order a Tesco delivery if you know where you'll be!

Balmacara stores at Reraig is open until 8pm on Sunday apparently - it's only about 5 minutes along the road from Auchtertyre where you would turn off coming from Dornie en route to Lochcarron. The Coop in Kyle of Lochalsh will be open after 4pm also I suspect and that is a further 5-10 minutes West from Balmacara/Reraig.

Just checked, yep closes at 8pm, that could be a lifesaver, thank you.

Weather the past few days has been beautiful! Roads seem pretty empty although maybe that’s with the South East as a comparison!

When does it start to snow or otherwise get a bit wintery and messy weatherwise? I was thinking of doing a circuit in my campervan in November, but avoiding getting stuck or road closures/diversions etc? Thanks.

Nov should be fine....any bad weather usually hits inland / east coast and is normally in Jan / Feb.

Thanks. I was checking a few places along the way for typical November weather, it doesn't look bad at all.

Not terribly kind that is it... the virus is all over the world, in case you'd missed that bit.

Unfortunately, quite a few people up here think like that. They are the minority I think though.

Equally, I'm glad when I was down south a couple of weekends ago (around Market Harborough) no-one told me to ps off back to Scotland.

Have a road:

Also, I'm pleased to report that as yet there are no PH stickers on this sign (which warn caravans not to drive up the Bealach na Ba).

Have you reported to the council? If not, it is worth doing. I wont bore you or derail the thread with why but I'd encourage reporting of this sort of thing.
