I recently called this guy to come and look at the aircon in my Jag XKR ; https://www.yell.com/biz/cool-air-co-gb-ltd-newmil...

The guy came over the next day, looked at the car, diagnosed the fault, fixed it and serviced and recharged the system £75.00.

Guy was a total petrolhead and showed me pics of his Morgan Aero 8; nattered away for ages. Totally brilliant service.

Nowadays, he only does aircon, and seems to know his stuff inside out. He is also a fully fledged auto mechanic.

He travels all over Scotland.

Enjoying my ice-cold aircon in this unusually hot weather!

Handy to know.

Any idea how flexible he is regarding carrying out a repair after travelling for a while (say 90 mins+)?

Could do with getting the Clio air con fixed but I'd only be doing it if it's a relatively cheap repair, if it was a compressor or something that isn't just a cheap and easy AC pipe I'd be hesitant.

I think he works at some/plenty of the prestige dealerships in the central belt, so might be possible to hook up with him at a mutually convenient location.
