Who Drives What - And Where?

Your Viper caused a moment of mild hysteria on thursday night!
Was out on a drive with the g/friend and as passenger I got to view the scenery a bit more.
From quite a distance I suddenly started blurting, wtf is that over that field. Having just herded a lamb back into a field from a road the viper in the distance was quite a shock and difference. Excellent.

Inchture Perthshire (tho nearer D'dee TBH).
Polo TDI 143
V70 20v nt family car
Sylva MoJo.
CVH1.6
Vulcan balanced bottom end (boy does it love to REV!!), ported top with Kents highest rated Hyd cam twin springs etc, etc.
Running Yoko 32ss for those all to rare "sunny delights" but have been off the road due to constant battle against rushed build quality issues (not mine I haste to add).
Abbey gearbox'es rebuilt XR2 box with 4.1 final drive so really LOW geared it's a really good car with a lot of traction at the back but can be light at the front in the roundabouts !! greenstuff pads on the front XR2 vented discs and formula ford pads on the rear.
OK. It's showed me how far production cars have strayed from the "truth" but to be honest ANY car like this (even with a relativly low output such as this) WILL bite you if your not on it. Combined with the high polar moment of whatever from mid engined layout it really is a case of slow in fast out. Just depends on what you mean by slow of course
Sell it ...NEVER...not even after breaking a metusal bone in my right hand after a cheap socket shattered on the gearbox casing whilst checking some elastomeric bushes part numbers............... LOL
cheers

Wont see much of me cos i just overtook you.
Chimaera 450, Aberdeen.
Be at Knockhill on Sat 28th May for the Guyson Scottish Sprint Championship... See you there......
DAVE52, I assume that's a Vauxhall with Holden badges after reading a couple of your posts and not an Aussie import??
I was thinking on getting one of these to replace the TVR. A Holden or Pontiac sounds much better than a Vauxhall eh!!!
Cheers

Hi Ross,
I guess that was you at Kames on the 24th of April. Didn't see you there this weekend though. I hadn't realised you were from Aberdeen
I was the painfully slow lilac Westfield.
On the way back up the road on the 24th, I think you stopped at the Finavon Hotel for some nosh. Murray Marshall (Corpulent Tosser) and I also stopped there for a pint. We saw your car outside but guessed you were eating so didn't bother you. On a related subject, see here
Aye, I'm really looking forward to KH. It'll be nice to do an event on a track I know for a change.
Cheers,
N
Yep, that was me... First time out. Had the car 2 years and never done anything serious with it.
Were you wearing a black and red Sparco suit??? If so I have a photo of you pointing at the back my car, most likely the PH badge on my number plate...
You should have come over at the Foinaven, don't know many people yet so the more friendly faces (you are friendly aren't you???) the better.
Just won't be able to make every sprint as I work offshore... Home on the 26th and my car is in Edinburgh getting serviced so hopefully everything will come together for KH.
Never had it on a (proper) track yet so should be a laugh..
