Thinking about getting a stage 1 remap on TT (2.0 tfsi) quotes from £195 to £650. All make similar claims on potential gains. So far been told Supertune Scotland and Angel tuning are good but interested to hear more recommendations. Feel free to pm any horror stories or places to avoid if against forum rules to post

Any reputable Revo dealer will see you right. If you're not in a hurry then leave it til around December, they always seem to have a discount sale on then. Find one near you here - https://www.onlyrevo.com/dealer-locator

I had Revo stage 1 on my mk1 Leon Cupra R (1.8T 225bhp as standard) and I got about 280 out of it, although I had some additional hardware changes too. The difference before and after was astonishing.

I went to SiTech to check on the state of a Stage 1 tune I may or may not have had on an S3 I recently bought. Outwardly I had a Revo intake, but no paperwork to confirm a tune.

SiTech plugged in and said there was a tune but it was switched off. He switched it on for me and adjusted some levels based on my answers to his questions.

No charge from him.

SiTech also do intercooler work and exhausts if you want to head down that route too.

Good chance if you had a Revo intake it'll have been a Revo tune too. Revo give you a little box you can use to switch the tune on or off, or have switchable custom settings, also a Valet mode and an immobiliser which basically disables the throttle pedal and has the engine idle very slow, to prevent theft.

Slight correction: Revo can sell you a little box, it's not part of the standard.

I've got my default map set for 98RON fuel and dialled back one notch on the torque options. I definitely noticed a difference in the feel of the drive from before I went (with 265bhp in theory) to after I went (with about 310 - 315bhp in theory).

I also like the woosh / flutter from the Revo intake, and the ksshhhh from the BOV or whatever makes the noise when I lift off after pressing on.

It's not a missile, but it adds character, and coming from an Elise S, an S4, an ISF and an Evora - I'm all about the character.

Re. the switching box, slight correction to your correction - I got mine as part of the deal but thinking about it that was probably part of the December special offer rather than something that everyone gets included in the price of the software. With or without that though, for a VAG turbocharged car Revo seem to have it nailed.
