I'm struggling to find values for these boxy and rather unloved Ginettas.

I have the chance to buy one in VERY poor condition.

The doors and glass are out of the car and it's sat outside for years (I first saw it around 10 years ago and it's condition has only got worse, at least it USED to have a tarp over it but its long gone now)
There is no interior at all, other than the dashboard which is missing it's dials. The headliner is down, seats missing, carpets missing or trashed from sitting outside in the rain etc.
There is a bit of damage on the fibreglass at the very front bumper.

The car is missing it's engine and gearbox, which is fine, as I have an engine and gearbox looking for a new home, and this seems a good place for them to live.

I mean, it's basically F***ed. Totally.

But what is it worth? It's difficult to put a value to it really. I don't desperately want the car, but it's local enough, and a Ginetta...

Will go nicely with the 4/4 I'm restoring.

If you work backwards from a car that's MOT'd and servicable and it would probably be around the £2K mark. Someone in the club recently bought a car without an engine / box for £1250.00
All the best

As it stands is it even worth the cost of moving it? I would be telling the owner that I'll save him the hassle of disposal and I'd do it FOC.

Well, I think this has fallen through now.

I found one that sold a while ago on car and classic, a red one without engine and box, but with a full interior in good condition. It sold for £295. I pointed this out to the seller and said 'no way' and wanted £500 as an absolute minimum. I was at the £250 mark.

Although as suggested, it did seem like the sort of car that can't be scrapped easily so I'll do them a favour and take it away for free.

Maybe it will sit there for another 10 years...

the body with a chassis which is most likely rusty will have zero value.

the value is the V5c...you could use it elsewhere.....bandit

Yeah, they are indeed galvanised.

There's no V5C with the car.

There is one on eBay for a very reasonable £10,000. Perhaps bargain down one or two hundred due to lack of IVA. Save yourself the time and effort of building?

no they weren´t...it was an option!!

the 10k one is a joke...nobody would buy such a half finished car for this amount...maybe 2.5k would be the "correct" price

The G26 on eBay is now up for £15,975!!! All you have to do is finish it and put it through an IVA. WOW, what an absolute bargain!!!
Or in the real world, £10k too much???

That G26 has been on and off eBay for at least 5 years without selling. With no IVA the price is probably £15,000 too high. The seller has been trying for so long that it would surely have IVA by now if it were possible.

The eBay regular is now only £24,975! Registered on 01/06/21, but photos show it in bits still. Advert doesn't mention IVA. One day the owner will surely see the light and auction it.
