I have been with *******card for 30 years and tried to use it twice. On both occasions they have twisted and turned and tried to claim black was white in order to wriggle out of paying.
Has anyone else had a good experience?

Used for dental screw up.
Twice for car problems.
New car battery and alternator belt, then another battery.
Escalate to financial ombudsman.
Change credit card provider.

Got £200 back from Barclaycard within a couple of weeks after a tyre place supplied me a faulty tyre then refused to refund.
However when i tried to claim against a dodgy immigration solicitor firm last year for £700 of services not provided as described, they wriggled out and told me they couldn't help as it was for my wife's VISA application, despite the fact that it was paid for on my credit card.
So yeah, mixed results so far...

Yes,with Amex (twice), Nationwide, and John Lewis.Amex and Nationwide were utterly professional and paid up without a blink. John Lewis who's card processing is done by HSBC, didn't try to wriggle out of paying, but were just utterly incompetent in processing it before they did.

I've only used S75 once, to get £1500 back after a company failed to complete a contract. You have to remember it's not automatic, the CC company will take evidence from the other party and judge the case a bit like small claims. You have to prove your case to win. I presume they recover the loss from the defendant.Has anyone else had a good experience?
