My mate left Beith years ago, he still has family there. The countryside is nice, but the town is full of stereotypical Bucky Party types with no teeth. He hates going back.

Burnhouse 🤔 Only you could decide if it's ok.
No shops.
Beith is 3 minutes away with a street of what remains of shops and a medium to small co-op along the road from those.
There's not a lot of positive stuff about Beith.
Just saying.........

Hi

I've lived in North Ayrshire all my days.

I won't be as savage as the other posters, but yeah Beith is typical of many towns in the area. Not a lot to offer outside of a few shops, the bookies and several takeaways. Again typical of the area the housing is dominated by 2 or 3 large post war council schemes.

One of my grandparents stayed in Beith all her life - all 93 years of it. The town used to be famous for furniture making. All now long gone.

What is it you are after info on? schools? leisure? shops? transport links?

Burnhouse isn't near Beith, well, I suppose it is, but it isn't 3 minutes, not really, its a collection of small houses on the Old Glasgow Road, there is bugger all there, apart from a caravan dealer, no shop, pub, school, main road runs through it off the national speed limit and drops to 40 and every one rips the hole out of it. I would avoid personally, unless its a massive off the road gaff for buttons.

Oops. Sorry, I was thinking of Barmill!
Between Burnhouse and Beith, all the comments still apply.
