September Hot Hatch Track Day at Knockhill.

Some pics from the hot hatch track day, I was only there spectating and gladly so. I go to club evenings at Knockhill to go on track and they are far better orgranised. At a hot hatch day you see contact between cars on track, people cutting up other cars into corners and basically someone was crashing every 5 / 6 laps almost !!!
A Lancia Delta Integrale went backwards into tyres going down dufus, the driver got out and flung his helmet down onto grass!
The whole mentality seemed different from the track evenings. When I went up to the circuit I was asked at the game if I was 'racing',
They try to put cones out before the corners to filter cars into a single file through corners but after a dozen or so laps the cones have been clipped and are on grass / middle of track etc!
Madness!!

Really surprised at the quality of some of the cars. The RS2000 is nice.
I do know someone who spent a lot of money on an Escort RS turbo, taking it close to race spec. He made the mistake of taking it on a KH hot hatch day and was T - boned going down the dip by someone who had spun off and decided just to rejoin at random. Wouldn't risk it myself.

The RS2000 is mad !!
I've had a few laps with him and it is sideways everywhere, he goes through Dufus almost on complete opposite lock. He says he gets it sideways so easy by putting remoulds on the back. His car control is superb, every corner we went through I thought he's lost it but he never did.
