Welcome!

Michael is near you www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?h=0&memberId=69647&f=118&t=340469

I'm about an hour away on the west coast (Torridon) - and I know of two on Skye. I'm sometimes over at Tesco!

Ah... yes, seen a lot in these parts. I'm usually in a grey Defender with a shaggy dog hanging out the window - flash ya' lights if you see me (I'd better not flash every Scottish Water vehicle I see, I'll get sectioned!)

It'll be a Corrie van im in, will keep an eye out for the Defender when im up, last time the shop in Torridon was "closed for winter" which I found a little amusing

Hey Mike, im fine, not back to work to Monday so just working on the car and searching the web for parts.

Hi Rob, I am one of the two on Skye.

Best not tell everyone you are from Scottish Water, there are a few folk in this area who are a bit upset at not being able to get a supply despite the fact there is no shortage of the stuff currently following the laws of Mr Newton.

Welcome and BTW who do you play in Corrie?

I'm in the Black Isle from time to time. where my Viper's going to be kept. Just got it delivered today so I'm over the moon. Trying to resist the urge to drive it right now since it's still on US plates and the weather's not ideal.

The road from Garve to Achnasheen is one of the best condition roads in Scotland currently, far better condition than most of the A9!

I myself am on the Black Isle, north of Inverness, so I will have to keep an eye out for this Viper

I'll be up for that Mike.

Be nice to get the Diablo out of hibernation when spring arrives.

The good thing about many of the roads in the North of Scotland is that they offer excellent visibility, particularly the moorland roads. You can press-on relatively safely as you can see a considerable distance in front (no hedges or walls etc.) and be confident that you won't encounter a cyclist, sheep or reversing tractor round every bend. (Which, in my experience, is a very real possibility on most other country roads and something many drivers, unfortunately, to not take into account when out for a "hoon".)

I'd certainly by up for an Inverness-area meet once the weather gets better. Although there's still the odd nice day even now.
