First of all, mods if this is against the rules please delete!

Folks

I've got a set of cheap flights in the orange planes that i cant use. I was wondering if any of you guys would want to buy them off me. If i could see some of the cash back i would be happy. Up for a deal?

Flying Glasgow to Geneva Sunday 28 Jan returning Sun 4 Feb. Evening flights that include a pair of skis on the booking.

Message me through my profile if your interested.

Moonie

PS - Im gutted that i cant time off work cos the snow is just starting to get good and i am desparate to get some turns in this winter!

Was tempted, but I've meetings arranged at work so can't take that week off.

Can't you just change them to a later date? I'm always having to change flights and all you'll pay is the change fee (£15IIRC - secretary sorts it out, but I think its in that magnitide on the web) plus the diference in costs. NOTE I'm pretty sure you'll also pay the same charge to change the traveller name, so you may as well change the times at the same time you change the traveller. Just make sure the flight you change to a flight with the same cost as the price you paid for yours otherwise you'll pay the difference too.

Really keen to hit the snow though as I just bought a pair of Volkl AX4 (untried). The last time I bought a pair of skis that weren't race planks was in the 70s with a pair of 'The Ski'...bet no-one can remember them! God these AX4s are ugly skis though, compared to the elegant skinny planks of old.

Hi Willie!

Glad to hear you have come out of the pre-historic ages.... only joking laugh

I'd be interested to hear what you make of the Volkl's, they have been getting good reviews but i haven't heard of any 1st hand reports as yet. I added a set of Volkl Karma's to the quivver a couple of season ago and they have probably seen the most action of all the planks since i bought them. They're just cloud9

You are right, you can change the flight dates, the admin fee is about the same and you just pay the difference between basic flight prices. The problem is that i bought these months ago when i had a different job and could take time off in Jan and Feb. I've got another set ex Newcastle in Feb that i dont think i can use either....

But then i changed jobs, moved to devon, and wont get skiing till April. Probably going to do a haute-route with a couple of pals.

The ultimate irony: The new job is selling ski holidays! boxedin

Next winter will be spent in the Haute-Savoie

PS 'the ski' - thats part of ski folklore, never seen em, only the wistful grins of those who skied em new!

Devon? Hey I'm off to Devon again on Monday morning; been working on a project there for a few months and becoming one of FlyBE's best customers.

Hope the AX4s are OK as they're to replace the trusty P40s that I've had for maybe 5 or 6 years.

As to 'The Ski', my old pair are nailled up on the garage wall. And as to more 'fokelore' gear of that era, I've still a pair of 'Scott Superhot' boots in the attic. Ahhh memories. The Ski, Superhots, stretchy pants in wacky colours; 'twas THE gear to be on.
