David, how are you?

I'm a new member too and was wondering how you get into these hillclimb events.

I've got a WRX RA, all stripped, caged etc etc and only use it for trackdays but would be interested in the hillclimbs for a blast.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Matthew

I'm fine ta.

Interestingly i believe the Highland speed championship is having a seperate road car class for turbo 4wd cars this year... that might be of interest to you.

check out www.prhighlandspeedchampionship.co and www.scottish-hillclimbing.co.uk for more info on how to get started in speed events.

Basicly all you'll need in a non race Nat B licence and join a local car club.

Where about are you?

I recommend Doune if you want to drive an awesome hill. cool

Hi David,

I remember your car from Doune a couple of years ago

Would love to try that myself, but those tracks are mighty tight!

Just do it Matty, their's no one around to crash into you on a hillclimb.

If you feel a little intimidated by the barriers at Doune dont fret, sprints tend to have alot more run off area.

Lol... loads of room in the olden days then.

It was just seeing how narrow it was at high speed with all the walls and trees etc. Scary stuff! That dude didnt let off at all, mind you he obviously knows the course well and his car.
