Ok so i voluteered to swap my prowler for a mystery car for the day.

Its this sunday and i believe the first episode was last night, the swap was a KA for a Merc jeep, next weeks is a pink Corsa for a Audi estate?

At this stage you may be thinking what the hell has this boy done? In all honesty i think I'm going to get something which will actually put a smile on my face, something good and hopefully not a people carrier.

The prowler has no luggage space, is lhd, auto, 3.5 V6 etc so i thought well its going to be the complete opposite of that. Now i'm thinking it's not, who knows!!!!!!

Wish me luck!

Matthew

I love Prowlers, theyre fantastically bonkers! Good luck with the swap mate, my guess is that youre getting a 1.6 focus or maybe a european prowler equivalent, whatever that may be, caterfield? Sounds interesting though, Ill be watching

on one of the other forums I use we were asked if we were interested. I did put up my lil modified show car but guess its not what they were after. Would of been a laugh but I would of been cacking it the whole day worrying in case someone destroyed her lol

One of our guys has been asked to swap his Sean Hyland Mustang GT - he loves the car too much to swap it, but if there is a chance he can get his hand son the Typhon, then I will be talking him into it!

Yup - I amtrying to talk him into it, but he told me today that only two people will ever get to drive his car - him and God. (He is not God Squad, I might add)

Ok well lets just say I was set up a cracker!

Took a whole day of filming etc etc. 4 hours with me then met up for lunch and was introduced to the other owner, Joe, a gentleman in his 70's, possibly 80's. So at this point I still dont know what i'm getting but I've narrowed out anything sporty but I'm thinking to myself what if he likes his rollers etc, trying to stay positive.

It turns out i swapped my Plymouth for a new model Toyota Prius. F*ck that is all i can say. It was a petrol/electric car and just wasnt my thing. I had a good day and met nice folk but in the end was a little gutted as i felt it could have been something far superior or at least interesting but i think the producers, well i know the producers are not after that, they want complete contrast and conflict unfortunately.

Poor Joe hated every detail about the Plymouth and it was hilarious watching his reaction at the end.

Anyway, must shoot but be warned guys.

Matthew

PS. What the hell am i meant to say about a Toyota Prius??????

Aaaah bu66er!! That's not so good. But as you say they are probably looking for the best reaction. I certainly would not have been happy letting my motor go to an "older" gent lol. I get heart palpitations when my dad takes mine off the driveway lol.

Richard..................

Offer still stands. Stang for the Sagaris or Typhoon.........

I think my suggestion of an MPV would actually have been better. I hope they got your face on video when they announced what you were getting, would be priceless......

To be honest, an MPV would have been better. Even a robin reliant/citroen dolly 2CV would have been better, at least they has character which this thing certainly did not.

The old man gave up driving it and one of the camera crew had to drive it back, hahahaha!!

The one benefit of it all is i get some great footage of the car and some good prints, just what i want..

Hey, can't let you get away with a contradiction like that - I know I'm not 70, but older gent driving your car.....!!!!
You'll have to argue the toss with Jane for the Typhon!!
