I might have been hallucinating but I passed (opposite direction not overtaking) what looked very much like an F40 on South Deeside Road this afternoon. Didn't get a good look so hopefully it was a real one and not a body kitted Pontiac Fiero.
Spotted before in Aberdeen area??

Saw what was definitely an F40 in - of all places - Brechin just the other day. Would you believe it was a bloke of about 70 driving it? Lucky sod.....

There is an owner of an F40 who is easily into his 70's. He has had it for many years and often takes it to Knockhill on the Porsche/Ferrari supercar days.

I remember around about 8 years ago, he let some young bloke in his late teens/early 20's drive it and he spun it coming down to the hairpin by braking too late (easily done), all was well though.

Anyway, its amazing to see these cars but even more amazing to see them driven by people of this age who clearly have a huge passion for them.

I live in Brechin too. You won't see my baby - Locost R1 Yamaha Turbo - out on the road as its for track use only unless I can be ar..d SVAing it, which I don't think I will as it's not exactly road friendly. The most spectacular motor in town at the moment has to be the pink Playboy-liveried Mini driven by a bleached blonde who works in McConechys and the Kohi-Noor. What a laugh! It certainly stands out among all the Discos and Freelanders the green wellies drive round here....

Ha, I know the girl you mean, what a set of teeth she's got!!! Even my 6 year old boy laughs at her pink playboy mini, still I bet she thinks she looks cool!

Have you seen the aston Martin Vanquish from the guy at Guthrie Castle, keeps coming through Brechin, must be lost!

Was out in the TVR yesterday, had a great drive around edzell. Have always thought of getting a track based car, but I am not sure I could live with not being able to use it when the sun comes out and you fancy a blast in the country, bit to hardcore and restrictive for me. Hats off to you!

Think Larry sold that a while back, i worked with his son until a few months ago, he has an FXX stashed somewhere, amongst many other uber cars in his underground garage! I can remember him turning up at work once in his newly purchased Mclaren F1, with a 'tax in post' piece of paper on the dash!

As for the OP, i saw a red F50 coming out of the Raemoir hotel last month, felt rather humble sat across the junction from Banchory in my jallopy!

Griff boy - think I saw you out in the TVR last week. I had an old Dutton Phaeton a couple of years ago that was road legal (just) and gave far more expensive toys a fright in sprints and hillclimbs. Cheap and cheerful and great fun on both road and track. I'll be competing at Fintray Hillclimb next Saturday and Sunday in the bike-engined Locost. Good day out if you've nothing better on and it might whet your appetite for a track car!
Renmure - some collection! Think a friend of mine did some work at your place (builder) and he was raving about the cars in your garage. Can't think who else he could mean around here.. See you've a Westie Blade - but what's the AC bit about?

Yes, got to agree renmure, quite a nice eclectic collection youve got there! lovely area around friokheim as well. We do quite a lot of work in that area, i run a company which specialises in Kitchens & Bathrooms, and have a lot of customers in your direction. I know a lot of people slag off this area, but I think there are some absoutley wonderful parts, especially driving roads!

There's a guy out Lumphanan way with an F40. I parked in Kinker high street last year thinking I was the man in my 996 and he parked in front of me in his F40 - my wife turned and said "that puts you back in your box then eh?"
