As Fintray was a first venture into motorsport as competitors for my son and myself can I firstly say how much we both enjoyed it despite the changing weather. The friendly atmosphere in the paddock area was brilliant. We were both pleased that although not on the pace in our class our personal times improved with every run and we both had a ball.We would like to add our thanks to GAC for a well run event and now look forward to our next outing soon. As I left on holiday straight after the event I apologise for the delay in posting, but I suppose better late than never.

Are you talking about your post or your arrival at the finish line at Fintray wink

Seriously, well done to both of you, and all the other first timers, there were quite a few. My first ever event was at Fintray too, and yes I did back off before the finish line.

Hi CT. How's the sponge and custard diet suiting you?! Hoping to have the fuel problem sorted out by next week and I've booked E for afternoon of Friday June 8 to see if our efforts have been successful. You're welcome if you fancy some straight-lining, or know anyone else who'd like to share the cost. I took your advice and MH is doing my geometry the week before Boyndie. I'll probably leave the car with him and pick it up on the way to the sprint. Are you doing it? We're planning to camp out, which should test our scouting skills to the limit! Take care.

CT, I had been well enough told about not backing off before the finish line by both you and Eric that I knew fine well not to.Maybe backed off a bit too much at other parts but not before the line.

8th June I will be in UK, but in Englandshire - Leeds - so cannot take you up on the test session offer, will make Boyndie though.

Good luck with the camping at Boyndie John, I will be in a nice bed with bricks and mortar for walls, not canvas, well I will if Eric books accomodation, he has been delegated that task and we have had some 'interesting' digs in the past when he booked.

Hope you get the fueling issues sorted, Boyndie should suit your car better than Fintray I think.

Murray

Bricks and mortar sound perfect, but I have been persuaded by the memsahib - whose word is immutable law - that for cost and "fun" reasons, a couple of nights under canvas are in order. Bring on the beans and crisps!!
