I want my Griff serviced soon, but cant believe the price we have to pay for servicing in Scotland.
Basically, I'll have to pay DOUBLE eek what it would cost me to go to a reputable TVR Indie down south - talk about ripping off a captive market...nono

Do Automedon still do a collect and deliver service? If they do, might be worth a look. As an aside, do you have any info on those doing servicing in Scotland you could PM me? If you have, I need the good and bad in as much detail as possible please. A friend also with a TVR has recently moved to Scotland has run into some servicing difficulties too.

Thanks,

Steve.

Not sure where you are going for servicing but I use Dreadnought in Callander. www.dreadnoughtgarage.co.uk/ can't fault them. I would not put my Stang anywhere up here in Inverness.

Do you think they'd know their way around a Viper?

I would probably say yes on that one Hamish. Claire spent time with Shaun Hyland in Canada. And took her own "modified" stang over here. A certain member on here now owns it LUCKY B*****D !!! The girl knows her stuff. If I ever get my "shopping list" organised I will be going to her. First for advice and then for fitting.

Try J&D Motors in Insch - both John and David are ex-competitors, and know their way around specialist sports and competition cars. A TVR should be no problem for them.

Think yourself lucky you don't have a Speed Six engine's servicing costs ......

Having said that:
- it is a magic engine
- I can't fault Dreadnought's service
- their rates are no worse than franchised garages

.... and you don't have to travel hundreds of miles to get there, of course!

We do have a bit of a problem at the moment with Dreadnought having a monopoly on TVR servicing up in the central belt but they are good at what they do. Sprint mag has lots of garages doing deals but most are down the south of England. If you want to take advantage of those deals why not take a Holiday down that way and get the car serviced at the same time! You could be getting a free hol if the saving is great enough!

I've also heard these guys are very good and they're far closer to me than Deadnought.

Apologies. Normally I only make constructive posts. Must've been having an off moment.

All the best.

Cheers,
