If the police were really to 'think outside of the box', a chav'd up Corsa and PCs wearing baseball caps etc would be far more stealth...
Ironically, unmarked cars seems to stand out a mile...
there actually is a black corsa new shape around the midlothian/edinburgh area full out down body kit/tinted windows etc, spoted a few weeks ago after pulling a boy racer up at eskbank tesco'sIronically, unmarked cars seems to stand out a mile...

Black Audi A4 on the M8 at Govan this morning, blues behind the grill, pulled a car westbound
Sorry no number as I was east bound
Noticed on the M74 a marked Audi estate pulling someone for speeding. Strathclyde Police must either have added Audis to their fleet or have them on test!Sorry no number as I was east bound

I saw that marked Audi again an A4 but an estate yesterday also around the M8 Govan area and thought the same. Probably moved on to Strathclyde for further "testing"?
Was chatting to a few traffic cops 'off the record'
Appears they are being put upon by the most senior officers to have 'hard' quota figures and to keep these up. He doesnt like traffic and their cost to the force. Predictably ordinary traffic cops very unhappy , but need to follow orders. Not sure if the unmarked cars are just a way to save money, but again not popular with ordinary cops. they dont like the preception the public are getting of them through all this.
If the senior cop gets the new all scotland job, then expect this to roll out everywhere!

Jaguar XF ... SN60 AEC creeping about falkirk earlier in the week.
Saw this yucky vapor grey metallic car pulling a woman in the Raploch in Stirling today. Woman subsequently arrested and taken away in a van. Might have been a dd as her vehicle didn't get towed away.Dark blue shabby 5 series in Dumbarton last few days SF57ODX (maybe OBX)
Bloody old thing for them to be using. Very undercover or just cutbacks!

Yep, it's one of the old favourites. Does plenty of "business" given the amount of times I see it dealing with people on the M74.
I'd like to know why they've kept a 57 plate on the fleet!

It's probably the most spotted car on this thread.
Wonder how long they'll keep it for. I thought it would have been 'put out to pasture' a long time ago

I travel the new M74 every day and probably see at least one pull a day. There are so many drivers that are giving the police prosecutions on a plate, they don't need to chase, they don't need to hunt, just sit back and Mr stupid motorist will play into his hands.
Why are there so many drivers that see a road at 50mph limit, see slip roads, hiding spots in the barriers etc and think, I know, I will put the foot down here!!
