That'll be the sparkling graphite one mentioned earlier, looks similar to black under some street lighting conditions the way it reflects the light, my 1er is the same colour

There are threads and threads devoted to this 
a) nobody knows it's a Police car, it may be a fire officer's personal car used for emergency purposes
b) even if it were Police, they'd not pay list price
c) the Police haven't got money to waste on cars because they're cool - I'm sure they'd rather spend the money on keeping their mates' jobs.
