Does any of you remember Alex Gray who stayed in Humble Road and had a repairs garage in South Annandale Street just off Allison Street. I see A Gray Motors are still in business, Alex will be long gone so no clue who is running it now. AFAIK Alex never had any children
Alex had two boys, one was the year above me at school, the other the year below, Stuart and Scott, if memory serveshello i am after some help ,im tracking down history for my classic car ,i have found the dealer from which it was bought from ,which was alexanders of greenock the year 1983 ,at the time looks to be a ford dealer . i am trying to reproduce the dealer sticker for the rear window ,would anybody have any pictures or information to colour ? , phone number which i do have some i have 203 from an old picture , also what the tax disc holder may have looked like , any help help or information would be great , thanks in advance ,wazza
Alexanders were part of a larger group with a few showrooms spread around Scotland so would expect a standard dealer sticker with different telephone number for each showroom
These are earlier stickers with shorter phone numbers, possibly what you are looking for
These are more modern with extra numerals in the phone number
Greenock phone numbers would start 0475 followed by 5 numbers
