You may find your engine bay colour will show through once your bonnet closes. I had to mask off another inch or so below the wing and paint it again with the body colour to ensure it didn't show through after the bonnet was closed...

I've been considering painting my engine bay black as i assume it helps to soak up heat away from the engine?

Any truth behind this?

the hole car will be repainted the same colour as the engine bay

been a couple of months due to work and back problem but now have brakes and clutch sorted exhaust box on but need to adjust it with the universal tool (big f*****g hammer) before i can fit rear pipe then back on its wheels and sort out the cooling system

fitted new rad and fan now just got to work out water pipe runs as a lot of the pipe work was not fitted when i got the car can i have some pics of 400se engine bays from you chaps to help cheers dave

back in the garage just need to get new bottom hose as the one i have is too short ive got all the new electrical fittings just waiting for my brother inlaw to come round and fit them then fill with fluids and cross fingers plenum is not fixed yet as will have to remove it to fit the plugs for the injectors getting there slowly

Its look good, I presume you sorted out the water pipe runs?

If not I will check my lastest, to see if its any different than the info I gave you a few weeks ago!

a nice evenings work in the garage finished the water pipes in the engine bay and while im waiting for the wiring to be sorted i started on the interia ive replaced the leather on the dash were the demist vents are

been sorting out the wiring today finding any damaged wires ready for repairimg tomorow also took out the heater gave it a good clean found the missing dash vent inside the heater unit also need to get some new vent piping as some of it is missing also found that the car has had some little friends nesting in there
