A bit of a random and unrelated question. I noticed in one of your pictures of the interior, your tacho is stuck at around 20, presumably, the power is disconnected, judging by the number of wires hanging out. I have this same problem when I turn the ignition off, yet when the car is running it works fine, from 0 upwards. Am I to assume then that the tacho has an internal fault and the weight of gravity causes the needle to drop to around 20 each time the power goes off. Only I was thinking along the lines of a bad earth, but everything else seems to work fine. Now, seeing the photo of your tacho without power, has made me think.

Tony. TCB.
sorry tony cant help you with this as the gauges are not plugged in and I had not taken any notice until you pointed it out
